Die Pension Real befindet sich in schöner Umgebung der Gemeinde Žiar, die an der südlichen Seite der westlichen Tatra,am Eingang in das Žiarska Tal liegt. Das Žiarska Tal bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Gebirgswanderungen und Biketouren in die Westtatra. Zu den atraktivsten Wanderungen gehören die Touren zur Žiarske sedlo (Ziarska - Sattel),zu den Gipfeln Baranec, Plačlivô und Baníkov immer mit der Möglichkeit, die Žiarska Hütte zu besuchen. Zu den typischen slowakischen Akzenten gehört eine Gebirgsschäferhütte mit einer Gaststätte, die in einer Entfernung von etwa 1 km von der Pension Real liegt. Diese Schäferhütte ist nur in der Sommersaison geöffnet. Im Winter steht für die Skifans ein Skilift "Dolinky" direkt am Rande des Ortes Žiar zur Verfügung. Ein weiterer Skilift befindet sich in einer Entfernung von 2 km am beleuchteten Hang "Podbreziny". Im Umkreis von 20 km liegen alle bekannte Skizentren: Jasná, Závažná Poruba, Liptovský Ján und Podbanské. In der Nähe der Pension befinden sich auch bekannte Termalbäder in Liptovský Ján (8 km) und in Bešeňová (20 km) - ganzjährich geöffnet. Die Besucher können auch mehrere kulturelle und historische Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen. Nennenswert ist das Museum Liptovskej dediny (Museum des slowakischen Dorfes) in Pribylina, sowie Naturbildungen in Demänovská jaskyňa slobody (Demänovská Frieheitshöhle) und in Ladová jaskyňa (Eishöhle).
